ANOTHER SURE SIGN

I almost forgot, another sure sign of spring around these parts is the return of the American Robin. For my UK friends this is a member of the thrush family, not to be confused with your Robin.

MORE HINTS!

I know I haven't put anything up for a little while, that would be because we have had 2 snowstorms since the last time I posted. Well, I finally got some pictures of the crocuses in bloom. You will also notice there's snow on the pussy willows, that certainly made for a pretty picture but I am more than ready for the green and riot of colour of spring.
I had an unusual visitor last night, one I have never seen in my garden. We have a stray cat that adopted us over this past year, she had "treed" a little mouse in my rose bush, poor little thing was so scared. It was very co-operative when I took it's picture, after I put the cat in the house. Afterward he made a clean getaway with a little help and no cat in sight.

A HINT OF SPRING

We have a hint of the crocus's coming.

And the hyacinths are showing from under the snow.

Perhaps spring really is around the corner for us snow weary folk?

HAVING FUN!

Even if we get tired of winter, the squirrels I feed every morning certainly have fun. At times it looks like they are diving for treasure, they are so much fun to watch.

The Garden in Winter

I know the garden doesn't look like much at the moment, actually this is a picture taken just this past friday when we got dumped on with nearly 18" of snow in our latest snowstorm and that with just 23 days left until the calender says it is spring.
